The California Academy of Sciences in San Francisco will be holding their 2012 Spring Homeschool Day on 4/17. There will be special programming from 9:30am-5:00pm such as Swamp Discovery and a scavenger hunt. Registration begins 3/27 for those signing up for Reserved Programs and on 3/29  for general admission. You must register by phone.

Here are a few pricing specifics:

San Francisco Homeschool Families
Two adults may attend with their children (ages 4-17) for free.

Homeschool Families from outside San Francisco
Two adults may attend with their children (ages 4-17) for only $6.95 per person.

Free Admission for Infants and Toddlers
Children ages 0-3 are free, but please include them in your reservation so that we may monitor attendance.

Additional Chaperones
Reservations for additional adult chaperones may be made at general admission prices ($29.95 for adults; $24.95 for college students and seniors).

Reserved Programs
Although most Homeschool Day events are drop-in and covered in the price of admission, our reserved programs involve pre-registration due to capacity limits. These instructor-led classes involve a participation fee to cover the cost of materials. Fees are per participant, whether child or adult.

Obviously I don’t live there and I don’t homeschool, but I noticed how more than fair the pricing is for this. Very good!

Well, you are a parent and I’m sure you remember what it was like trying to provide your kids with activities without breaking the bank. Every little discount helps 🙂
