Part of the fun of parenthood is getting the opportunity to pass on part of our childhood. I love the fact that my daughter enjoys some of the cartoons I used to watch when I was her age. Since summer is the perfect time to catch up on reruns and to discover new shows, a throwback roundup seemed especially appropriate for this month’s Netflix Stream Team show suggestions 🙂 Here are a few tv shows and movies to share with your kids.

9 TV Shows & Movies to Share With Your Kids

Here are a few of my favorite tv shows and movies from back in the day.

Some of the best series are a getting a facelift for the 21st century and are being re-introduced to the next generation. I’m still partial to the original series but these are worth giving a a try.

What were some of your favorite shows way back when?

I received a year subscription of Netflix and a device to stream the content as part of the Netflix Stream Team. All opinions are my own.

I wish we had a Netflix subscription! My son loves reading Garfield, so I know he would love watching it. I think he would like Inspector Gadget also. I liked the original Smurfs.

I LOVED Garfield and Friends as a kid. A lot of the newer shows seem to lose that personality in the computer animation and the tone is a bit snarkier. Love the original Inspector Gadget and my DD has watched most of it. Others she’s liked included Ducktales and Chip ‘n Dale’s Rescue Rangers 🙂

I love all these shows, and am so glad Netflix has brought them back so I cna share them with my daughter. We watch Netflix and Hulu instead of regular TV to avoid the commercials and have a better kid-friendly viewing experience.
