A Warm Spring Day at Carmel Beach, CA

by TerriAnn

Carmel Beach is our favorite beach, about two hours south of us. White, fine sand, clean, and turns out it’s dog-friendly as well. See the full post to see the photos properly.

Can you tell how much fun my daughter had. We stay about 4-5 hours.

Uhm, I thought that wave looked kind of close. They got soaked!

Speckles loved it but she was pooped.

The California coast is so beautiful! It never ceases to amaze me.

No – I’ll have to check those out. Thanks for those suggestions! This was the first time we took out pup to the beach so it was a new experience for all of us.

Point Isabel is in Richmond there is also Dillon Beach though officially there is leash law it is not at all enforced and its well known that its not enforced 😀 There is another in or near SF that I cant think of right now. Point Isabel isnt really a beach but your dog can go swimming there sometimes its easier than others depending on the tide.

You mean Ft. Funston? Haven’t been there but my friends told me about it. Sorry, at first I thought you were referring to more places in Carmel itself. We introduced Speckles, our puppy, to water near dog park in Foster City – it’s actually a little boat ramp. I don’t think that water-loving from the lab in her is coming out yet 🙂

Thanks! It’s a wonderfully serene and lovely beach area. The local Carmel-by-the-Sea is a cute, quaint town too. Put it on your list to visit the next time you come to Cali!
