Customized Bags And More

Tote bags are flooding the market. They are available in an astounding variety of styles and patterns. You can buy them as souvenirs when traveling or if you forget to bring one from home. These bags are so standard that people, including me, are even starting to refuse when companies hand them out for free. Imagine, saying ‘no’ to free things – taboo!

So why would I want to review yet another tote bag? If you’ve had a chance to look at the selection at, you would understand. There are so many great bags to choose from that I had a hard time narrowing it down to one style. My husband just bought me a new laptop of my anniversary (the old one died a few days before) so I was in the market for a laptop bag. Plus, I wanted on that I would feel comfortable carrying anywhere. The Monterey Tote fit the bill.

Now THIS is a great bag. It arrived in a cute box wrapped in simple tissue paper. Nice presentation! As I unrolled the contents I was very pleased. The tote looked so much better than I imagined. From the rivets to the stitches to the handles, the workmanship is top notch.

The customized embroidery adds a great touch without being overdone. I was able to choose the color bag I wanted and the color stitching I wanted to use. There is a variety of fonts to choose from and the preview is close to what the product actually ends up looking like. I played with many, many combinations but this is what I ended up with.

That is just the outside though. A separate laptop bag was included with the tote. This simple, padded sleeve fit my 15″ laptop perfectly – and I mean perfectly!

So I slip my laptop in to the padded bag then put that into the tote. Wow. Now I have a functional laptop bag that looks great! I popped this baby over my shoulder and brought it with me to a local Starbucks. While my daughter was bending and jumping at her gymnastics class, I TRIED to get some work done. I felt so posh walking in with my stylin’ bag and sunglasses on. After getting my White Mocha Decaf Frappuccino, No Whip I settled in and pulled out my laptop. Man, did I feel cool?!

There is plenty of space in the tote to carry other things in addition to the laptop bag. Or, if you so choose, you can take that bag out completely and just load the tote up to use alone. Best of all, it is so comfortable and functional. When carrying it, I hardly knew it was on. This means I had to be extra careful not to flop it on the floor along with my purse when I came home.

I just can’t rave enough about how much I like this tote. I just wish I had more occasions in which to use it. I need to put my daughter in more classes so I have an excuse to bring my laptop around in my new bag!

Oh well, with the prices at Veeshee being so reasonable and offering so much more than just bags, I’ll probably have to put another order in soon!
