Cavalia, 11/16-12/12 in San Franciso, CA

► Read my review here!

Cavalia is a new production founded by the co-creator of Cirque du Soleil . . . with horses. The production first opened back in 2004 but now it’s taken on new life. The sheer number of cast, both two- and four-legged, has almost doubled while the stage, sound, and effects also underwent major improvement.

The show opened last night, 11/16, in the parking lot adjacent to AT&T Park in San Francisco, CA. The show was completely sold out! It will run for four weeks until 12/12. After that, the troop will be traveling to their next destination in southern California to Los Angeles.

Enjoyed by more than 2.5 million people in the U.S., Europe and Canada, Cavalia is an extravagant production involving over 100 performers, including 50 magnificent horses from all over the world, riders, aerialists, acrobats and dancers as well as musicians and a vocalist. A show literally unlike any other, Cavalia celebrates the relationship between humans and horses, reinventing the equestrian arts.

I will be attending the show tomorrow so keep you eyes peeled for my review. If you’d like to order tickets in the meantime, check SF Bay Area on the Cheap for discounts.

Really? It’s hard to imagine exactly what the show will be like so I’m glad to hear that you’ve heard positive things thus far.

We have a permanent Cirque here in Central Florida and they are always entertaining. I’d love to see Cavalia.

It’s pretty expensive but they’ll love the horses.

I’ve heard rave reviews about this play when it was in NYC. Never have the chance to go, hopefully soon. Looking forward to your review 🙂

I don’t really know where those ‘rave’ reviews come from unless they are horselovers/owners/trainers.

I think I’ve seen seven different Cirque du Soleil shows. I’m a huge fan. Looks like Cavalia will be heading my way after the SF performances. I might have to check it out.

It would be a good idea to read my actual review. I’d stick with Cirque shows if I were you!
