When I first got my pair of Dansko shoes, I couldn’t get my daughter out of them. She couldn’t really wear them, since she is four sizes too small, but she just loved how cushy they were. How exciting that the new spring Sanibel line also includes a style for the kiddies, Vesta.

Like the Sanibel Veda which I reviewed previously this month, the Vesta line is also part clog and part sneaker. The canvas upper comes in five different prints/fabrics.

My daughter LOVES her shoes. She says, “They’re good. They’re really comfortable”. The only problem with that is she won’t wear them outside because she doesn’t want them to get dirty. That makes writing this review a bit difficult. Her bottom line: these are her current favorite shoes (and she is pretty picky about her clothes/shoes).

So now it’s my turn, as the one that buys all the shoes for the family.

I like the mix of versatility and support. It seems that the majority of girls’ shoes these days resemble ballet flats. That means your child, in their most important stages of development, are running, jumping, and climbing on soles that are the same density of two pieces of cardboard. My husband will not even allow my daughter to wear such shoes as they provide little to no support. (Isn’t he a good daddy?)

Cute? Yes. Good for their feet? No.

Who better to design shoes with proper arch and sole support than Dansko? With the clog foundation, every leap off a swing and every awesome landing is sure to be cushioned and stable. The ‘sneaker’ part of the design allows your daughter to coordinate with any kind of casual outfit. These are so cute with jeans, khakis, capris, shorts, skirts, skorts, etc. Best of all, while they are busy being kids you can be confident that their tootsies are cared for. Win, win.

I ordered her shoes a half-size larger so these babies will be seeing a whole lot of action all through the spring, summer, and fall!
