Just released is this first look of the upcoming film titled Lincoln, directed by Steven Spielberg and starring Daniel Day Lewis.
LINCOLN focuses on the last four months of the president’s life and the political strategizing he undertook at the close of the Civil War to ensure that slavery would be forever outlawed. “Our movie is really about a working leader who must make tough decisions and get things done in the face of overwhelming opposition,” Spielberg says.
I’m curious how this movie will be presented as it has some real potential for great lesson plans for teachers and homeschooling families. I hope they keep that in mind and make it appropriate for at least middle school students. Lincoln will have a limited release 11/9 and expanding to more location starting 11/16.
