All parents want the best for their children but providing those things is not always easy. In fact, we need all the help we can get. Lysol has stepped in to help support families in these turbulent times. Their new “Misson for Health” program will keep our kids healthy, provides special information for new mothers, and covers disaster relief.

Healthy living can begin even before birth. We, as mothers, can help to set the tone in establishing good habits. Lysol provides several tips for new mothers. You will also find a community in which you can connect with other mothers where you can learn and share. In addition to this, a certified pediatrician provides insight as a fellow mother. Coupons are made available here to cut the costs of parenthood a bit.

Many children miss valuable days at school being absent due to illness. Sadly, many children are not taught healthy habits. Last week I was at an amusement park with my family. When I was on a roller coaster, the boy behind me (around 13 years old) was coughing and I could feel my hair being blown forward. I was so grossed out and had to retrain myself from ‘schooling’ him right there and then.

But not all hope is lost. Lysol has joined with schools across the U.S. to provide your child with the tools needed to keep healthy. They also offer monetary rewards for school with high attendance records. The contests they offer are LYSOL Blue Ribbon School Awards, the LYSOL Hand Washing Song Contest and the LYSOL Healthy Heroes Contest.

This new program will also benefit families that have been affected by natural disasters.

So check out the new community on Lysol’s homepage and ‘join the mission’ in creating and maintaining healthy families.

I kind of liked the “Safe Spaces” in their “Save the Children” partnership. I can only imagine how helpful that can be after some big disaster.

  11. says

My favorite aspect of the program is the School Attendance Contest. I have several younger relatives who range in school age from Kindergarten to High School, and many of the older ones have already started to stray from the path of a good student. While I guess the days of working hard in school and studying for the benefit of the act are gone, it’s good that they are encouraging children to stick with it and get their education. I know that my teachers made a real effect on me.

  12. Roxy says

I know many people have said it but I love their school attendance contest. It would have done wonders for me to have that kind of contest.

I like the idea of getting schools and children used to the idea of handwashing by songs and contests. Sadly, it often takes something like that to drive a message home.

  30. says

I like how Lysol is rewarding schools with the best attendance record. So many children are out of school due to illness or just to “skip school” and every day counts! I remember falling behind if I would miss 2-3 days of school. I think it is great they are incorporating rewards for cleanliness, health standards being met, and attendance!

The lysol Missions for health program is wonderful, I love that It will be teaching people how to live healthy and this is very important for new moms

  31. barbara wright says

I like the Blue Ribbon School Attendance Challenge. My kids are generally healthy, and it was wonderful when they were in year-round school because they’d track out RIGHT when the seasons changed, which is when the other kids got sick and got MY kids sick. Now that they’re in high school and have a regular calendar, they’re bringing home other kids’ sicknesses again. I’d love for ALL the kids at school to be healthy!

  32. Jennifer Miller says

I like the disaster relief efforts Lysol is putting in, particularly that they not only help with shelter but health and well being and hygiene aspects, too. Thanks!

  38. Vanessa hunter says

My favorite aspect of the program is the school attendance program. Our children need all the encouragement that they can get!

  39. says

I love that Lysol is providing school teachers with the tools to teach children about keeping their hands clean. I see so many adults skip hand-washing after using a public bathroom, it’s certain that many children never get that lesson at home! As someone who lives in a hurricane-zone, I also appreciate that Lysol ships cleaning and sanitation products to areas hit by disasters.
