Polly Pockets & Cutants

by TerriAnn

My daughter has been a fan of Polly Pockets for the past 4-5 years or so. When she saw the new ‘cutant’ series on the Polly Pockets website, she was intrigued. What are ‘cutants’? They are cute mutant pets in the online Polly World. The dolls themselves have also had an update and look more like young girls versus small women.

These are so cute, a bit strange but cute. I think it was a smart move to incorporate the physical doll line with its online counterpart. Each set of cutants are formed in different themes, this one being from ‘Goodie World’. The quality, as always, is pretty good and can withstand quite a bit of use. The head does come off easily (which we accidentally discovered) but can be popped right back on fine. For $6.99 MSRP you can get a sweet little doll, a cutant pet, and a few accessories.

My only complaint is that the doll has different body dimensions than previous releases. The shoulders are narrower, the hips bigger, and the feet wider. This means that none of the Polly Pockets outfits my daughter has fit this new doll. Since mixing and matching outfits is one of the highlights in playing with this series, I’m a little sad that this new line requires a whole new wardrobe.

Disclosure: I was provided with the above mentioned product at no charge in order to facilitate this review, which contains 100% my honest opinion.
