Good for: Everyone
Price Range: Moderate, about $10 per order

You have a day off, slept in an extra hour or two, and are now getting the munchies for a late breakfast. But you don’t want just any breakfast. You want something warm, savory, filling – good ‘ol comfort food. That’s where Stacks comes in. It is definitely not a place to visit if you are watching your weight but it is if you feel like getting some real grub in your belly. Just make sure you are prepared to wait for a table.

This location of Stacks is cozy and the staff has always been friendly. The menu is loaded with breakfast and brunch goodness from omelettes and crepes to waffles and pancakes. The prices are reasonable when you take into account the portions provided. On top of that, each plate comes with their signature hashbrowns and either a bagel or toast. I can’t comment on the lunch offering because we’ve only ordered breakfast here. Hey, ‘if it ain’t broke don’t fix it’ and their breakfast is plenty tasty! By the way, their omelettes are wonderful!

Like any good family restaurant, Stacks has a child menu that comes with the traditional box of crayons. They actually have a nice selection of kid’s food on the menu so you know your child will be eating good too. If you have a somewhat picky eater, the servers have always been happy to oblige and make even the smallest of customers happy.

The fresh-squeezed orange juice is always delish but at $3 a glass with no refills, you might want to savor the flavor of your drink versus gulping it down. Save that for the free water. For those with allergies, several items are available to order for you as well. We also noticed that some sit at the outside tables if they have their canine family members with them.

For the past several years, Stacks has been our go-to restaurant for a nice brunch by ourselves or with family and friends. They have never failed to deliver a great meal and an even better dining experience.

WARNING: You will likely rub your full stomach after your meal and then want to go home to take a nap!

Never heard of Stacks, but considering I don’t live that far from there (Campbell) I will have to check this out. I didn’t know you were so local. Thanks for this review because we are always looking for restaurants that have that small town feel.

You’re welcome. Well, it may be a bit far for just breakfast but if you’re on your way north anyway it’ll be a great way to start your day. This is one of those places which you’re happy has stayed relatively the same over time 🙂 BTW, glad to meet another SF Bay gal!

Same here. Do you know any other bloggers in our area? Everyone I know is way too far or out of state.
