Travel photos of rural areas outside Montgomery, Alabama – Longhorn steer #Travel #Photography

It’s funny how you get used to seeing certain things where you live. When I was in the state of Alabama, my driving companions teased me when I was saying, “What’s that?” all the time. I mean, come on, no where in the city do I ever see longhorn steer along the driveway to a restaurant or random white donkeys on the side of the road. However, it was soon my turn to get them back. When a Google Street View car drove by, something that I see fairly often, the two were incredibly giddy and excited. Here are a few photos I thought you might enjoy from the trip.

From the state of Alabama, just outside Montgomery:

Oh girl, you have a great photographer’s eye. These are incredible. I’d pop them in frames.

Great views! Glad you had fun! Those horns scare me. I won’t have a cow with horns on our farm, just imagine the harm they could inflict?! We did miss our chance in dehorning one of our male goats so he is horned but it has come in handy in catching him! 🙂

How fun for you to experience something different than what you see everyday. Those pictures could have been taken in any of the areas near our home in Texas too!

Love the donkey, he is just hanging out. I had no idea you were down here in the South.

My step-dad is from Alabama, and I fondly remember visiting there as a child. He even showed me the old schoolhouse that he attended as a child.

Very interesting. The Montgomery area is not typical of the rest of the state. I think you can see some buffalo there, too.
