Taylor Swift & Kelly Clarkson Are Evil

Taylor Swift and Kelly Clarkson Songs/ Lyrics Too Catchy…

I have decided that Taylor Swift and Kelly Clarkson are evil, but I say that with the best intentions. For some reason, songs by these women get stuck in my head and I can’t help but sing them over and over.

When I heard “Catch My Breath” for the first time, I thought it was ‘meh’ and was vehemently determined to not like it, no matter how many times I heard it on the radio. The same thing happened with “Dark Side” and I now belt out both of them at the top of my lungs in the car. Fail…

Songs from Taylor Swift are even worse. Even the title of “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” initially turned me off. I almost spit out my drink at the sheer corniness of Taylor saying, “What?!” and “Like…ever.” Yet, I now bob my head and thump my feet as the song plays and I “woo-oo-oo-oo-hoo” along. I even do this while home by myself and working. Fail times two…

What is it about these two artists that make their music so catchy and addicting? No matter how much people criticize them or scoff at hearing their names, everyone knows the lyrics to their songs! This was proven when I was with some family recently. Aside from my daughter, everyone else was between 30-50 and we ALL sang the full chorus of “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” word-for-word including the high-pitched “we-EEEE”.

If Kelly’s voice and Taylor’s lyrics were combined, we would all be doomed as their pop songs echoed non-stop on radio waves and digital music players. Will we forever be at the mercy of these two women?

My daughter makes a mad dash to turn the station when she hears him 😛 No wonder his songs are popular if he has the same pull as these two though!

Hahaa! My daughter and I were just talking about this in the car the other day! She no longer likes Taylor Swift, yet we always turn the radio up and sing along when she come on the radio, whether we want to or not! Just can’t help it 🙂

My daughter was singing a Taylor Swift song the other day. It was pretty funny!

Young girls and tweeners are especially prone to knowing Taylor Swift’s songs! Kelly’s songs just have that stay-ability factor.

ROFL I am not really a fan of either, though I did REALLY like Kelly when she was American Idol, right up until her last album. I haven’t really heard anything recently.

I guess you escaped their recent pop pull 🙂

I’m still blasting Kelly Clarkson’s “Since U Been Gone” on my iPod. It’s the only song that makes me pull out the air guitar.

That’s awesome! She definitely adds a bit of rocker sass to her music.

Hahaa I don’t think I know their lyrics! Maybe I don’t listen to the radio enough. But who knows maybe I do know them, just don’t know it’s them. 😛

If you listen to any pop, you probably would have heard them. Be glad you have been spared from their brainwashing 😛
