Wrongly Heard Lyrics…
Have you ever been caught singing a song, only for someone else to point out that the lyrics are totally wrong? Among close friends and family I am well-known for hearing things wrong. This is especially true of music. I can’t think of recent ones (maybe I’m getting better) but here are some of the songs I’ve been caught singing with completely different words:

Fortunately, I’m not the only one that has misunderstood certain lyrics:

Heard As (by my husband): She’ll think I’m superman, not super mini-Man |
| “I Do Not Hook Up” by Kelly Clarkson | |
| Correct: I fall deep |
Heard As (by my daughter): I’m fourteen |
| “More Than a Woman” by the Bee Gees | |
| Correct: More than a woman! More than a woman to me… |
Heard As (by a relative): Bald-headed woman! Bald-headed woman to me… |
Funny what a little mumbling or lack of enunciation can do, eh? What songs have you accidentally gotten wrong or heard someone else sing/say?

I know, it’s hard to think of such instances on the spot.
I just found out I was singing the wrong words to the Lumineers song. I thought it was “I belong with you, you belong with me, in my sweet home” and it is “you’re m sweetheart”

SO funny, my husband and I were just talking about this a few days ago. A classic mistake for me is ACDC – Dirty Deeds. Instead of “Dirty deeds done dirt cheap” I used to think they said “Dirty knees and the thunder Jeep”

ROFL That cracked me up. My favorite song that I have no idea what he’s actually saying is Smells Like Teen Spirit

Ha! This is too funny. While I may understand the lyrics, there are certain songs that I tend to changes because it just is funny.
Sounds like my sister and her husband. For Mariah Carey’s “Hero” they sing “the Weird-o inside of you…”
