2013 Legoland Discounted Days for Home School / Homeschool Students…

It’s freezing in the dead of winter but that doesn’t mean your family can’t have some fun! Legoland California has released their Home School / Homeschool Days for this school year. You do NOT want to pass this up if you have young school-aged children because you can save up to 73% on regular ticket prices.

The SEA LIFE HOPPER for Legoland and Sea Life is $25 (reg. $91), Legoland only is $21 (reg. $78), and Sea Life Aquarium only is $9. The special rates are good on:

2013
January 28 – March 11,  April 15 – May 20 (Mondays only, self-guided, download teacher guides)

Legoland also offers staff-led science programs on the first Monday of each month, the next one being on February 4th. This is what the schedule for these programs look like:

10:30 & 11:30 at LEGOLAND Imagination Zone

  • Ages 5-8
LEGO Education WeDo: Robotics for Young Beginners: Gator-Bots or Build a Coral Reef
  • Ages 8+
NEW! Adventure-Bots—Discover and retrieve the treasure! Ages 8+
NEW! Simple Machines II – Build Dog-Bot and make him move! Ages 8+

10:30 at SEA LIFE Aquarium

  • Octopus Garden, Ages 4 – 7
Meet the Giant Pacific Octopus! Discover their camouflage, jet propulsion, and ink-squirting!

Something new this year, or something I never noticed before, is that your group must have a minimum of 10 people. I find this kind of odd as this day is for homeschool families, families which generally consist of 2-5 people.

Anyway, don’t forget to register for free on the Home School / Homeschool Days page. Tickets must be purchased at least one week in advance and are not available at the gate. There is NO discounted option for the Water Park. The park is open to the public those days. The Legoland Hotel will be opening in April so you and your group may even opt to spend the night there in Carlsbad. You can also read my Legoland California review to know what to expect. Enjoy!
