When visiting the south rim of the Grand Canyon you must, by all means, book a room at Little America Hotel in Flagstaff, AZ.

The rooms were HUGE, pleasantly decorated, quiet, and clean. We found the front desk staff to be helpful and spent quite a bit of time in the loaded gift shop. Unfortunately, we only stayed one night at this great hotel.

(Thanks to my father-in-law for the photos.)

The best part was the extra sink located outside the bathroom. This way more other guests could get ready if someone was in the shower or using the toilet.

Had we known it was going to be this nice we would have preferred staying here than in the park itself, which was less than desirable and much more expensive. Rates are reasonable ranging from $100-$150 a night. We stayed in a room with my in-laws so that price for 4 adults and 1 child was unbeatable. The hotel is about 1-1/2 hour from the center of Grand Canyon National Park but is not bad when compared to all the other driving you do in the area. Plus, there’s better food available in Flagstaff then there is in the park.

When looking at the site, there are a TON of amenities but we were not able to check those out on our last visit. If you get a chance to, let me know what you thought of them (ie pool, volleyball, grill).

I love the look of this place. It reminds me of my Grandma’s house, but I mean that in a good way. Thanks for sharing.

Looks like such a cozy nice place, we should have stayed there when we visited the Grand Canyon!
