Burke Williams Day Spa in San Francisco, CA: Anti-Aging Facial

by TerriAnn

Anti Aging FacialWhen I heard of the Anti-Aging Facial being offered at Burke Williams, my first reaction was that I did not need it since I’m still fairly young and have pretty healthy skin. What a naive way of thinking. It made perfect sense when the esthetician performing the facial (Brenna) stated that “it’s much easier to prevent wrinkles then to treat them.” Duh! How could I not have realized that?!

No matter what age you are, this treatment is fantastic! It goes above and beyond a standard facial with a thorough cleaning, exfoliation, two different masks with active enzymes and natural ingredients, extractions, and high-quality moisturizers. Brenna basically walked me through each step and made sure I was fully involved the whole time. Some of the enzymes ‘tingled’ but if it became went beyond my comfort level she quickly remedied it.

While waiting for the masks to ‘do their thing’ I was treated to a fantastic neck and shoulder massage. I don’t mean a little pat on the back but a full-on massage! Little did I know but Burke Williams gives each esthetician special massage training. That felt so good and it was just the place I needed it most!

I could feel and see the difference immediately. My pores were cleaned out completely and, over the next few days, I only had a one or two individual pimples develop. This was particularly notable since I was dealing with a lot of stress about my upcoming press trip and my monthly was coming up soon. Those two factors alone would usually have me reliving my teenage days of acne breakouts.

Not only was my skin feeling totally clean and refreshed, I also got some great tips on daily care. Based on my skin type, she pointed out which type of products would be most effective. I appreciated that she did not push me to buy the particular brands the spa carried and even mentioned other good product lines.

You already know much much I enjoyed the massage and pedicure services but now facials are on my ‘to do’ list at Burke Williams as well.

Services were provided free of charge to facilitate my 100% honest review.
