“Mary, Mary, Quite Contrary, how does your garden grow?”
I must be a serious city girl because I just found out how cucumbers grow. It was already amazing to see our strawberries pop out of the middle of the flower but we had no idea what would happen with the cucumbers. While we were waiting to looking inside the flowers for a bit a growth, we realized the whole stem to the flower was actually the vegetable! Okay, now I know fruit and veggies don’t ‘come’ from the grocery store but to actually watch it grow is amazing! I got a great pic – just click to see it FULL size.

We once had one that was well hidden, so it kept growing. It looked like a small watermelon by the time we discovered it.
Haha, well it must have been REALLY tasty if it was growing that well on its own.
