Netherlands Day 02: Haring Eten

by TerriAnn

Today we drove to the seaside resort of Scheveningen. There we ate at our usual spot, ordering haring (herring) and kibbling (deep-fried white fish) with garlic sauce. This is the typical way to eat fresh herring after it’s been skinned and deboned.

It was a beautiful day to walk along the beach. The weather doesn’t usually matter though as Dutch people will typically take a beach stroll no matter how cold it is. It’s gezond (healthy) they say.

The Hague (Den Haag) is one of the best cities to visit in my opinion. Amsterdam is overrated.

I LOVED Amsterdam! We went in 2006 and went to the Van Gogh Museum, Anne Frank House, Heiniken Brewry, Hard Rock Cafe or something like that. We walked everywhere too! It was more beautiful to see the city this way and everything was within a few miles of our hotel!

I am glad your enjoying yourselves.

Glad you had a nice time there. Next time try some of the places I’ll vlog about later on this trip 🙂
