Until recently, I never realized just how often I connect to public Wi-Fi and how much information I actually put out there. Working with [F-Secure Freedome VPN](https://www.cookiesandclogs.com/public-wi-fi-f-secure-freedome/) last month really opened my eyes. Even as I write this post, I’m connected to in-flight Wi-Fi several hundred feet above ground as I travel from San Francisco, CA to Atlanta, GA. After connecting, the first thing I was sure to do was fire up Freedome VPN!

### F-Secure’s Freedome VPN Protect You While Mobile

I love that [Freedome VPN](http://s87.eu/TerriAnn?ref=cookiesandclogs.com) encrypts my online activity while on Public Wi-Fi. I can safely log into my email, my blog publishing platform, social networks, and more without worrying about my usernames and passwords being skimmed or leaked. I can even change the location of the server I connect through for an added layer of security. I’m also protected from malware and phishing attempts. Sweet, right?!

Freedome VPN also has a brand spanking new adblocker feature. I haven’t yet had a chance to play with this yet but am looking forward to surfing with out those crazy intrusive ads popping up all of the time. I look forward to other improvements that are in the pipeline.
