Madagascar 3: Europe’s Most Wanted [DVD/Blu-Ray]

by TerriAnn

Madagascar 3: Europe’s Most Wanted (Blu-ray/DVD Combo + Digital Copy) is now available to own! We actually never got the chance to see the movie while in theaters so we were excited to receive the new release.

The gang is back (with the original cast of voice talent as well) but now they’re ready to go home, to New York that is. Thanks to a merciless animal control officer, the four friends join a traveling circus touring across Europe and hoping the US will be their next destination. Helping the circus animals with their own issues helps the gang reevaluate what it really means to know where you belong.

The storyline is very superficial but fun for a light viewing. The animal control officer is just plain creepy and there are many awkward ‘fighting’ scenes with her. The circus sequence at the end, though completely unbelievable, is pretty stinkin’ cool.

While I did not like this movie as much as Madagascar 2, it gave a nice closing plot to the franchise. There’s also a very goofy song called “Afro Circus” that Chris Rock aka Marty performs. It makes no sense but is catchy and has the character don a rainbow afro wig. The best part? The movie comes with one for you!

Here’s more information on the combo disc release:

The MADAGASCAR 3: EUROPE’S MOST WANTED Blu-ray + DVD + Digital Copy Pack with UltraViolet™ includes not only the hit movie, but also loads of behind-the-scenes footage and interactive fun, PLUS a DreamWorks Animation first: a real rainbow wig that lets viewers get in on the act! MADAGASCAR 3: EUROPE’S MOST WANTED will also be available in a Blu-ray 3D + Blu-ray + DVD + Digital Copy Pack with UltraViolet for the ultimate home viewing experience, as well as in a single-disc DVD.
