There used to be a time when everyone in a town knew each others’ names, kids could freely play outside at all hours, and people didn’t even lock their doors. While those days have passed, it’s never too late to take positive steps to build a strong and close community. Hyatt House is aiming to do just that with their National Good Neighbor Day events.
Guests can experience the local vibe and discover the special gems residents have known about for years. Each of the 58 Hyatt House hotels are equipped with a Neighborhood Guide. Here’s a bit more about those include:
New Neighborhood Guides at all 58 Hyatt House locations offer experiences personally recommended by Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia, Inc. as part of the “Martha Stewart American Made” program, which celebrates local American makers. The guides feature small businesses and the best places to Eat, Shop and Visit, from delicious pastries and homemade ice cream to neighborhood bookstores and vintage shops. Local makers selected for the Neighborhood Guides are just minutes away from Hyatt House hotels, and with complimentary Hyatt House shuttles at most hotel locations, residents can explore the neighborhood with ease.

Hyatt House Emeryville enjoyed this special event last night, where Fenton’s treated attendees to their famous frozen treats. I’m so bummed that I wasn’t able to attend or tell you about it in time. Well, let’s fix that now, shall we?
