This Hallmark card gives me flashbacks of my daughter singing that song when she was 6 years old on our Wii karaoke game…when company was over…

Haha! I can relate as well. My youngest is famous for singing random songs like that in the grocery store! lol

Oh? Like what? You’ve made me curious 🙂

His most recent song to sing out loud is that Party on top of the world song. Also there is this song that starts out “it’s been a really messed up week, seven days of torture seven days of bitter and my gf went and cheated on me.. lalala whatever … lalala doesn’t matter”, can’t recall the names of the two songs. But he will just start singing and dancing anywhere as if the songs just popped into his head!

Too cute! Well, I’m sure not in a crowded supermarket or a quiet waiting room but this is the stuff you can laugh about later 🙂

Oh my gosh, I can totally relate. My daughter plays Just Dance on the Kinect and the song that says, “I like big butts and I can not lie”…or something like that…my kids all sing that, at all the wrong times. Like…at church LOL!

Seriously?! Kids are too crazy. Do they shake their behinds around while rapping too?

The Mom Jen October 10, 2012 - 10:36 am

OMG that is too funny! My oldest sang “drinking whiskey out the bottle…” from Kid Rock’s Sweet Home Alabama/All Summer Long and then asked “what’s whiskey?” when we were in line for the movies once! HA!

TerriAnn van Gosliga October 10, 2012 - 9:45 pm

Haha – how old was she then?

Nicole Flowers October 10, 2012 - 1:53 pm

too funny, been there myself.

TerriAnn van Gosliga October 10, 2012 - 9:45 pm

Glad I’m not the only one 🙂

Sara Phillips October 10, 2012 - 3:15 pm

LOL! I haven’t been there (I don’t have girls) but that’s funny!

TerriAnn van Gosliga October 10, 2012 - 9:49 pm

I didn’t even stop to think that only girls did this. Really? Your boys don’t sing randomly while in public?

Sara Phillips October 11, 2012 - 4:49 am

Nope, not really. My oldest takes after my dad and sings random made up songs, but not usually in public. Typically he does that where only family can hear him.

TerriAnn van Gosliga October 14, 2012 - 11:12 pm

Clever boy – he’s got the timing down at least!

Carolyn G October 10, 2012 - 3:54 pm

ROFL!!!!

TerriAnn van Gosliga October 10, 2012 - 9:50 pm

I can just imagine what those expression would look like in real life 😛

Liz @ A Nut in a Nutshell October 10, 2012 - 4:04 pm

LOL, too real for too many of us!

TerriAnn van Gosliga October 10, 2012 - 9:50 pm

I’d love to hear your story on this 🙂

Cat Davis - Food Family Finds October 10, 2012 - 8:53 pm

Ha … that’s funny.

TerriAnn van Gosliga October 10, 2012 - 9:51 pm

Have either of your girls done something like this yet?

Henrietta October 11, 2012 - 5:09 am

lol! Been there! my kids are older now but it seemed like they were always saying crazy stuff when we were out in public during the younger years!

TerriAnn van Gosliga October 14, 2012 - 11:13 pm

Yes, I miss those days…but not bad enough to have another 😛

Sandy October 11, 2012 - 7:05 am

I can relate! Around hear, it’s Ke$ha that my girls are always belting out. Super embarrassing!

TerriAnn van Gosliga October 14, 2012 - 11:14 pm

Whew – Ke$ha is even too much for me to handle. I’m sure it seems quite out of place from a little one’s mouth. I know you’re secretly laughing inside though 😉

I was shopping in a Ross store one night when I heard a little boy singing this song. His dad corrected him and said, “No, it should be ‘Don’t you wish your BOYFRIEND was hot like me?'” LOL!

TerriAnn van Gosliga October 14, 2012 - 11:15 pm

BWHAHAHAHA – are you serious?! Too funny! Go dad!

Beeb Ashcroft October 15, 2012 - 11:59 am

Totally serious! Still cracks me up when I think about it!

Maryann October 12, 2012 - 5:46 am

recently mine have been singing “look at that body.”

TerriAnn van Gosliga October 14, 2012 - 11:15 pm

Let’s hope they don’t sing it while staring at someone 😛

Jen October 14, 2012 - 6:16 pm

Oh how true!!! My daughter has been singing Katy Perry’s “I wanna See Your Peacock” all day today!

TerriAnn van Gosliga October 14, 2012 - 11:16 pm

Oh my! That must have been a shock the first time you heard that one!
