*DISCLOSURE: This post is sponsored. All products mentioned and reviewed on this page are compliments of AT&T. All opinions of the products are my own.*

These days, having a cell phone is a must. However most cell phone plans are crazy expensive and, as you add lines, those premiums can shoot through the roof. As we found out, the [AT&T GoPhone](https://www.cookiesandclogs.com/att-gophone-samsung-galaxy-express/) is a great option for keeping free of those pesky contracts and fantastic for tweens/teens that tend to have no concept of self-control when it comes to texting and data usage. To make it even more attractive for current and potential customers, there’s a new AT&T GoPhone plan for $45 per month. Of course, this GoPhone plan is still annual contract-free!

### New AT&T GoPhone Plan

The new [$45 monthly smartphone rate plan](http://www.att.com/shop/wireless/gophone-plans.html?ref=cookiesandclogs.com) includes nationwide unlimited talk, text, and data with 1GB of data at 4G/LTE high-speed. (Data usage exceeding the high-speed allowance will result in reduced data speed of up to 128 Kbps for the rest of your 30-day term. Actual speeds vary by device and location.*)* You can add an additional 500MB of high-speed data to this package for $10.

This plan is great for those that still want the unlimited talk but don’t need as much data as included in the higher $60 monthly plan. PLUS, from now until February 28, 2015, you’ll get $30 off GoPhone smartphones over $99 and $10 off GoPhone smartphones under $99.

### Win a GoPhone Freedom Kit

Sweet, right?! How about we make it even more interesting by giving you the chance to win a GoPhone Freedom Kit. This kit comes with:

- A GoPhone-compatible smartphone
- Speaker
- Portable phone charger

Feel free to enter below. I’ll be trying out the new GoPhone plan during December so updates on how that goes, along with some useful tips to survive the season, will be coming up in the next month or so. Oh, and don’t forget to take advantage of that deal for $30 or $10 off before it’s too late!
