Grand Opening of New Houses in Mountain House — Prescott & Zephyr Ranch

If you have been searching for the perfect home to buy in the East Bay Area, I have good news for you. More new homes are now available in Mountain House! The community recently celebrated the grand opening of two new neighborhoods: Prescott by Shea Homes and Zephyr Ranch by Taylor Morrison. These new houses in Mountain House feature spacious and versatile floor plans which will appeal to families of all shapes and sizes.

New Houses in Mountain House — Prescott

The first neighborhood we went to check out was Prescott by Shea Homes. There were two model homes open to tour and both of the houses were beautifully decorated. I loved the variety of tiling and finishes! These are the first smart homes offered by the developer and come equipped with SheaConnect. SheaConnect includes Wi-Fi and smart home products such as light switches, climate control, solar panels, appliances, and the irrigation system.

Both of the plans are set up very nicely. Rooms flow smoothly from one area to another, making the homes feel open yet cozy at the same time. You could tell that a lot of thought went into how each space might be used and common preferences. For example, most of the bathrooms had the toilet in a separate area than the sink, which is always helpful when others need to get ready at the same time. And, even with furniture, residents could still have a comfortable amount of walking space to get around without bumping into things.

From the mid $600,000s.

• Optional 1-bdrm suite unit (fully detached, 674 sq. ft.)

Homebuyers can also opt for an optional guest suite above the 3-car garage. The detached suite is a complete 1-bedroom apartment with a separate entrance, its own address, a kitchenette that fits a full-size refrigerator, an open living space, room for a standard washer and dryer, and a walk-in closet. New Houses in Mountain House — Zephyr Ranch

Then it was time to head across the street to see the Zephyr Ranch model homes by Taylor Morrison. Homes at Zephyr Ranch have roomy bedrooms, wide bathrooms, lofts, dens, attached guest suites, and good-sized backyards. New houses normally take about six months to build. But, some homes with preset designs and upgrades can be ready in as little as 45 days.

Both one- and two-story homes are available. Those with small children or elderly residents in the home prefer the single level option as it prevents any mishaps of dealing with stairs. Frans and I did get a little lost navigating the many hallways and rooms though.

Hansen Elementary School Tour

One major factor parents consider when buying a house is whether or not the local schools are good. That’s why new houses in Mountain House draw so many families. The district has an amazing collection of highly rated schools, including the one nestled in the heart of these two neighborhoods.

Homebuyers were invited to tour of Hansen Elementary School with Principal Corinne Pacheco. The new school was built about 1-1/2 years ago and offers classes from TK to 8th. The school places a strong emphasis on academic excellence with various enrichment programs, advanced curriculum, and regular sport and art programs. Plus, classrooms incorporate technology to better teach and equip kids growing up this digital age.

Homes in the Prescott and Zephyr Ranch neighborhoods are still for sale but I’m not sure for how long. These home sell out quickly! So, try to head out to the new houses in Mountain House ASAP to tour the model homes. Then you can put together the exact floorplan and options that best fit your family’s needs and likes!
