This past Monday, I was able to attend The Nutcracker and the Four Realms red carpet premiere. The premiere was not held outside on Hollywood Boulevard in front of El Capitan Theatre as it usually is. Instead, the pre-party was actually held in the Ray Dolby Ballroom across the street.
The Nutcracker and the Four Realms Red Carpet Premiere
Aside from a few photo opp backgrounds and a decorated doorway entrance outside, most of the themed fun was inside.
The room was set up so beautifully and it was like we were spending the evening under a gorgeous starry night sky! And, when we entered the room, we were greeted by entertainers on stilts either posing with flowers or juggling.
Walking the “Nutcracker and the Four Realms “Red” Carpet
There was also a lighted backdrop to take our “red carpet” photos in front of.
We did not get to share the actual red carpet with the celebrities in attendance like we usually do. Instead, they had a separate entrance and walkway for distraction-free interviews and photos. But, we could peek over and grab some paparazzi-type photos if we wanted to.
Nutcracker and the Four Realms Red Carpet Premiere Displays & Activities
Near there was a display of a few of the costumes from the movie. It was such a treat to see these amazing costumes up close!
The middle section had a huge cutout-style carousel with posters and seating. Near here is where you could grab something to eat or drink. (Can’t comment on the food since I couldn’t eat any of it due to since it all had dairy AND wheat.)
There were a number of sections spread around the room to entertain everyone before screening the movie later.
- Candy Shop
After getting a baggie, everyone was free to grab as much candy as they could fit from the bins that were constantly being refilled.
- Photo Booth
Guests could pose in front of a green screen and, after the background and effects were added, the final photo was sent to you via email or text message. (It moves so tap the “play” arrow to see it.)
- DIY Snow Globes
Using Ziploc containers, glue, and an assortment of toys and decorations, guests could make their own snow globes. I already had too much to carry and my nails were still wet so I didn’t make one.
- Hair Station
You could get an assortment of glitter, sparkles, and other bedazzlement added to your hair. Since I did my hair already (not without some serious stress and a few tears), I only had a bit of glitter and some accessories pinned in. Others, though, had much more intricate and hard-to-wash-out do’s. 🙂
- Mini Manis
OPI recently released a Nutcracker and the Four Realms polish collection and were offering mini manicures featuring their new colors. Such pretty shades!
- Paper Flower Corsages or Crowns
Lastly, a few staff members were on hand to make (or help you make) flower crowns or corsages out of tissue paper. We also received a little kit to try it at home.
When everyone was done getting glammed up, taking photos, mingling with celebrities, eating, and filling their candy stash, it was time to see the movie. We all made our way to El Capitan Theatre to see The Nutcracker and the Four Realms.
Attending The Nutcracker and the Four Realms Red Carpet Premiere
As we found our seats, we enjoyed some music being played on the Wurlitzer and admired the backdrop on the stage. Then, the lights started to dim and the ballerina figurines on the backdrop began to twirl. The screen slowly came down and the movie started. What did I think of it? Well, you’ll have to read tomorrow’s post to find out. 😉
I had a great time at The Nutcracker and the Four Realms red carpet premiere. I loved the theming, decor, and activities and it really got me in the mood to see the film!
