“Look! They have a Spider-Man suitcase!” exclaimed a dad as he walked by with his family. We had just finished a short trip and were loading our luggage into the car. But, in that one instant, someone was able to clearly spot our suitcase from a good 20-30 feet away. “What Spider-Man suitcase?” you might ask. I’m talking about the Spider-Man 28” Spinner from American Tourister’s Marvel collection.
Spider-Man Suitcase Review — American Tourister 28” Spinner
Sweet, right?! (Can you tell that I have no idea what is “cool” lingo these days?!) The exterior is striking with vivid red and blue colors with a prominent Spider-Man logo on the front. Now you understand how that father was able to so easily recognize the bag. Just look at this!
The shell is sturdy yet lightweight. A plastic luggage tag with MARVEL prominently printed on it is a nice touch for fans. The handle is easy to extend and retract, even when full. It goes just high enough to rest another travel bag on top and locks in position. Plus, we found that it even rolls well on low shag carpet. That’s a major bonus! I hate having to wrestle my luggage across uneven carpet at the airport or in hotels. Grr! It is no fun. The bag also expands about 1-1/2 inches for extra storage.
Spider-Man Suitcase & Full Marvel Collection
Marvel-branded fabric lines the inside of the suitcase. Yes, as depicted in the photo below, it does hurt your eyes if you stare at it too long. One side zips closed with a flap, which contains a pocket for miscellaneous items. The other side has a pair of elastic straps to keep your items in place. Since the wheels and handle do not protrude much, you can really maximize the packing space.
This hard-sided suitcase is one of four styles. You can also choose the Iron Man, Captain America, or Hulk designs. These come in either a 20” spinner (carry-on size) or a 28” spinner (for check-in). The choice of which character to choose was an easy one for me. With “Underoos” debuting in Captain America: Civil War and starring in Spider-Man Homecoming next year, I had to get this one. As far as I know, the Spider-Man design only comes in the larger format.
This is an awesome collection and I hope the line continues to grow. Personally, I would be all for a Black Widow, Ant-Man, or Captain Marvel design. This fan girl can’t wait to see if more designs are in the works.
Thanks to American Tourister, one of my readers will win a suitcase of their choice from the Marvel collection. Just tell me which design is your favorite and why. Enter below!
