When I was asked to write about five bloggers that I liked I thought, “Easy-peasy!” After all, there are hundreds of great blogs out there covering countless subjects and angles. But to name the five that I want to lift above all others I became stumped. After spending hours going through the bloggers I follow on Facebook, Twitter, Networked Blogs, and subscribe to either via email or rss I finally narrowed it down.
When I first started blogging, I looked for local bloggers and found Ana. She was one of the few to actually respond and with words of wisdom. Establishing herself well, she now writes for many influential blogs as well as her own at Finding Bonggamom and Bonggamom Finds. She also runs the best Twitter parties ever!

I only recently discovered Coffee on the Patio. While this blog is aimed toward women over 40, I quite like it. The premise is simple-find interesting articles online and link to them with a short blurb. Those 1-2 sentences and well-chosen articles constantly peak my interest and keep me coming back. Perfect example of staying focused!

I have so much to learn from Julia of The Frugal Find. She really shines in the way she engages her audience. Her Facebook posts and tweets are written as if each follower is her personal friend. She has also achieved something many bloggers struggle with, a loyal following of local readers. Deal sites come and go but TFF is here to stay!
Jen, the creator behind The Mom Reviews and Musings of The Mom Jen, is as fabulous as they come. Jen knows what she’s doing and does it well. She has a great writing style that is honest and easy to relate to. She’s also secure and kind enough to support a newbie blogger like me. Did I mention how awesome her travel reviews are?!

The gals behind Simply Stacie continue to impress me. They are constantly coming up with fabulous ideas such as the Global Blog Hop and the Cash Follower Giveaway. They have grown greatly in the past year and for good reason. Despite that, they keep the content useful and personal. If you are not following this blog yet, you should!

The blogosphere is broad and vast. A good blog really needs to have that ‘something special’ to make it blog stand out and grow. As I continue to add to and improve Cookies & Clogs, I want to thank the above bloggers for setting a wonderful example for me in how to be fabulous.

Do you know of any others I should check out?

Don’t forget to enter the 50 Fabulous Wishes contest for a chance to win $1,000 to support a friend’s wish. I was selected for this Tropicana Trop50 sponsorship by the Clever Girls Collective, which endorses Blog With Integrity, as I do. I received compensation to use and facilitate my post.

I think personal communication with readers is really important and those two do shine in that area.

I know Stacie and she has just exploded since she took on a staff. I’m happy for her. I only know Jen a little bit.
