Their story saw worldwide coverage as a modern-day fairytale. Many fans of the ‘Royals’ woke up early on April 29th to watch the wedding live, a fitting climax to their very public relationship. On 5/24, BBC America released the DVD, “[The Royal Wedding: William & Catherine](http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004T3BDXW/ref=as%5Fli%5Fss%5Ftl?ie=UTF8&tag=cookiesandclogs-20&linkCode=as2&camp=217145&creative=399373&creativeASIN=B004T3BDXW&ref=cookiesandclogs.com)“.

Coverage of the wedding runs about two hours. It begins from the time Prince William leaves to go to the Abbey and ends with both Will and Kate greeting the crowd as a married couple. The video is clear and commentary is minimal. It was funny to see so many in the crowd wearing tiaras. One girl was even sporting a pair of ‘wedding’ Minnie ears complete with its own veil.

As for the wedding, I was surprised at just how much religious tradition was included in the ceremony which took almost an hour. Then they left and waved on their way to the palace. I sort of fell asleep during that part and even had to fast-forward a bit. It was cute to see the whole family on the famous royal balcony. The amount of people filling the open area below was astounding. I had no idea so many were anticipating this union.

The other main feature on this DVD was the ‘Royal Engagement’. I rather enjoyed this and thought it was fun to learn about their backgrounds and how they came to get together. Take away the paparazzi and the ‘fluff’ and they seem like a some-what normal couple – a real-life love story. They seem happy, don’t you think?
