It’s a fact that we are ALWAYS refilling the soap in my house. That is largely due to my daughter’s definition of ‘a little bit’ and my family’s constant need to wash our hands. Now that we have a dog, our hand-washing habits have increased two-fold. We used to have an automatic soap dispenser, you know the ones on tv, but it died and never quite worked as it should – which was sad because it was an anniversary gift. Well, I’m glad Lysol picked up on the idea and came out with the No-Touch Hand Soap System.

I’ll start off by saying how much I like this product. Period. We use it everyday and it has yet to disappoint us. The style is simple and I like how compact the dispenser is. One factor that really stands out is that the sensor has just the right amount of sensitivity. While it will pick up your hand every time, it does not randomly dispense while you are wiping down the counter. This doesn’t sound very important but it is so irritating if you are trying to clean the counter and a blob of soap keeps dropping on it. There’s also a handy on/off button if needed.

Some may think this is just another gadget but it really proves its worth in many instances. One such situation is when you are busy cooking. Whenever I am handling raw meat, sauce, etc. I hate having to push down the soap pump or grab the dishwashing bottle. I feel like I am contaminating the whole sink area before I can wash my hands and get back to cooking.

Picking up after a puppy is just plain gross most of the time. If I get ‘stuff’ on me I don’t want to touch anything. When I say that I mean ANYthing. It is so nice to just head straight to the sink and wash everything off without fussing with the soap pump and worrying about the canine bacteria.

Are you still confused how this little household wonder works?

I can’t wait to get one for the bathroom. My daughter always uses too much soap, as mentioned earlier. I’m glad that we taught her good sanitation habits as she washes her hands often and thoroughly (about 30 seconds, as recommended). On the down side, despite how often we remind her, she always uses WAY more than she needs to. That means we go through a lot of soap, unnecessarily I might add. The Lysol No-Touch dispenses the perfect amount of soap every time. That in itself will save us a lot the long run.

So what are you waiting for?! Try it for youself!

UPDATE: Our soap ran out so I went online to get refills – expensive! The cheapest works out to about $6-8 per bottle. Unless we can find a really good discount, this maybe a one-time product for us.
