The family highly recommended buying a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/B003Y3AA2S\/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&amp;tag=cookiesandclogs-20&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;camp=1789&amp;creative=390957&amp;creativeASIN=B003Y3AA2S\">BISSELL Spotbot Pet<\/a><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"border: none !important; margin: 0px !important;\" src=\"http:\/\/www.assoc-amazon.com\/e\/ir?t=cookiesandclogs-20&amp;l=as2&amp;o=1&amp;a=B003Y3AA2S\" alt=\"\" width=\"1\" height=\"1\" border=\"0\" \/><br \/>\nas they used theirs constantly and it was a lifesaver for their carpet with eight puppies. We were only getting one so we would be fine, right? Wrong.<\/p>\n<p>In the beginning it wasn&#8217;t too bad since we mainly kept our puppy, Speckles, in the kitchen and the living room which both had uncarpeted floors. Only later, by means of a few &#8216;accidents&#8217;, did we find out how much we needed some kind of spot-specific steam cleaner. After much research, we finally bit the bullet and bought a Bissell Spotbot Pet.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 1<\/strong>: Fill the cleaning tank with water and cleaning formula.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-17276\" title=\"spotbot01\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cookiesandclogs.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/02\/spotbot01.jpg\" alt=\"Bissell Pet SpotBot \/ Spot Bot Steam Cleaner Steamer\" width=\"305\" height=\"202\" \/><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-17277\" title=\"spotbot02\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cookiesandclogs.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/02\/spotbot02.jpg\" alt=\"Bissell Pet SpotBot \/ Spot Bot Steam Cleaner Steamer\" width=\"305\" height=\"202\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 2<\/strong>: Push button for &#8216;surface stain&#8217; or &#8216;set-in stain&#8217;. Let the machine run 3-6 minutes.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-17278\" title=\"spotbot03\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cookiesandclogs.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/02\/spotbot03.jpg\" alt=\"Bissell Pet SpotBot \/ Spot Bot Steam Cleaner Steamer\" width=\"305\" height=\"202\" \/><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-17279\" title=\"spotbot04\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cookiesandclogs.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/02\/spotbot04.jpg\" alt=\"Bissell Pet SpotBot \/ Spot Bot Steam Cleaner Steamer\" width=\"305\" height=\"202\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 3<\/strong>: Press &#8216;stop&#8217; and allow to air dry. Empty and rinse out tanks for next use.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-17280\" title=\"spotbot05\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cookiesandclogs.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/02\/spotbot05.jpg\" alt=\"Bissell Pet SpotBot \/ Spot Bot Steam Cleaner Steamer\" width=\"305\" height=\"202\" \/><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-17281\" title=\"spotbot06\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cookiesandclogs.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/02\/spotbot06.jpg\" alt=\"Bissell Pet SpotBot \/ Spot Bot Steam Cleaner Steamer\" width=\"305\" height=\"202\" \/><\/p>\n<p>While the spot steamer was not cheap it was, and still is, worth every penny. We&#8217;ve used it several times and it is just so stinkin&#8217; easy to take out, fill, and set on automatic remover. Yes, it&#8217;s automatic. You just place the brush area over the spot and hit the &#8216;surface stain&#8217; button. Three minutes later the Spotbot is done and the soiled area is clean. If it&#8217;s something a bit more set in, there&#8217;s another option which runs six minutes instead of three. This worked perfectly on a stain we found when we were moving that had probably been there for years &#8211; and out it came!<\/p>\n<p>It would be wise to note that, for some strange reason, the steamer tends to leak water after you have used and emptied it. So, you may want to store it somewhere that will not suffer water damage just in case. Also, as this is only a spot cleaner, there may be a contrast in color if the surrounding carpet is not as clean as the area you used the steamer on.
