I hate that dreaded question. I mean, EVERY day I have to plan 3+ meals. Well yesterday it just wasn’t happening. It was that ‘time’ for me and I had zero energy. Instead of going hungry or breaking our budget by going out, my husband and daughter cooked!<\/p>\n
When my husband came back from the Netherlands, he brought a bunch of spices that you just cannot get here. One of those dishes is called Roti and it’s not the same as the Indian Roti we know here. It’s a Surinamese dish that combines marinated chicken, string beans, potatoes, and sometimes hard-boiled egg in a nice curry. You then eat it with an accompanying pancake. That what they made for us yesterday.<\/p>\n

My daughter decided to make a menu for our evening meal and my hubby was set with his beer. It turned out really well and it was so nice to eat something different. Especially since I wasn’t feeling good, it was such a special treat. Speaking of making dinner, it’s that time again. And what did I hear the family say?<\/p>\n
