I just found out that my Taco Pie recipe was chosen as the <a href=\"http:\/\/bit.ly\/13mNVpM\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Recipe of the Day<\/a> over on Circle of Moms!<\/p>\n<p>This Taco Pie recipe is super easy and tasty. Plus, it only needs four ingredients &#8211; ground turkey, cheese, salsa, and refrigerated pie crust!\u00a0My family loves this dish!<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-42161\" alt=\"Taco Pie Recipe By Cookies and Clogs - Recipe of the Day on Circle of Moms\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/tacopie_com01.jpeg\" width=\"550\" height=\"550\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.cookiesandclogs.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/tacopie_com01.jpeg 550w, https:\/\/www.cookiesandclogs.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/tacopie_com01-150x150.jpeg 150w, https:\/\/www.cookiesandclogs.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/tacopie_com01-292x292.jpeg 292w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 550px) 100vw, 550px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Prep time: 20 minutes. Cook time: 40 minutes. Servings Made: 6.<\/p>\n<h3>4-Ingredient Savory Taco Pie Recipe<\/h3>\n<p>Ingredients:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1 lb Ground Turkey or Beef<\/li>\n<li>2 cups Shredded Cheddar Cheese<\/li>\n<li>1 pkg Refrigerated Pie Crust (contains 2 in package)<\/li>\n<li>1 jar Chunky Salsa, Mild (24 oz)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Instructions<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Heat oven to 375 deg F.<\/li>\n<li>Remove pie crust from refrigerator and let sit until slightly soft.<\/li>\n<li>Unroll one crust and place at bottom of 8&#215;8 pan. Use knife to trim excess dough on sides. Poke holes using a fork. Place in oven for 10 minutes.<\/li>\n<li>While bottom crust is baking, brown ground meat. Drain.<\/li>\n<li>Add salsa to meat. Stir. Let simmer 5 minutes. Drain excess liquid.<\/li>\n<li>Pour half of salsa\/meat mixture in pan, on top of baked crust.<\/li>\n<li>Cover with 1 cup of cheese.<\/li>\n<li>Pour other half of salsa\/meat mixture in pan.<\/li>\n<li>Sprinkle remaining 1 cup of cheese.<\/li>\n<li>Unroll second crust and place on top. Trim excess dough and tuck edges into pan.
