OOfos Review of OOcloog clog & OOriginal thong, Product Provided For Review…

A good pair of shoes is nothing to shake a stick at. It’s so hard to find ones that fit well and feel good. OOfos goes one step further by making their shoes actually good FOR you. I received the OOcloog clogs and OOriginal thongs for a rounded OOfos review and to see if I could really “feel the OO” as promised.

Now, I usually wear a size 8 to 8-1/2 but the size 8 Oofos were too small for me. The clogs were way to snug while the upper part of the thongs cut off my circulation. A replacement pair was provided in a size 9 and the were much better. As for the first set of shoes, I was told to keep them and it just so happened that they fit my daughter just fine (those are her feet in the black thongs pictured below).

Stepping into a pair of OOfos, whether the clog or sandal style, definitely incites an “OO” reaction. The sole is uber cushioned yet the arch support is solid. It’s hard not to bounce a little as you walk since it feels like you’re on clouds. I also love how thick the soles are and the non-stickiness of the inner texture. By the way, texture is practically unnoticeable, unlike other similar shoes that have irritating bumps ‘massaging’ your feet.

The appeal of OOfos is all in the design:

Our proprietary OOfoam compound absorbs 37% more impact to help relieve stress and fatigue from the body. We feel it is important for our audience to know our shoes aren’t just comfortable, but that they also help the body recover and recharge.

Ah, so that’s why they’re so comfy! I don’t think I’ve worn either pair long enough to experience the recovering and recharging effect. Less pressure seems to go on the balls of my feet and my heels when I walk though. I’m generally pretty heavy with my steps and often use extra pads to soften the impact. Oh, is that what they mean by ‘helping the body’?

With summer being here, both my daughter and I use the thongs for outside and our clogs for inside. Wearing the clogs, our toes and feet have been protected many times from our clumsy dog as she rampages through the house with one of her energy bursts. It’d be good to get a size larger in the clogs so you can wear socks with them if desired. It can get a bit form-fitting in there.

As for the thongs, they stay on well but can be a bit tight if your feet are on the chubby side. Mine are okay but I’m not sure how they’ll do when my feet swell from the coming heat. But so far, the more I wear them the more comfortable they become. I still have a weird things about things between my toes so that’s another factor I’m dealing with. Ideally, I should have gone for the OOahh Slide but felt that the original style best-suited this review. Now I know what to get next 🙂

Overall, I really like the OOfos we received. I foresee a lot of use from here on out. I was only wishing that these were available in more colors but just found out that the thongs now come in plum, navy and aqua and the slides come in navy. Whoo-hooo!
