That&#8217;s what a recent <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pewsocialtrends.org\/2013\/05\/29\/breadwinner-moms\/\" target=\"_blank\">Pew study<\/a> showed &#8211; that it&#8217;s becoming more common for mothers to be the breadwinners in the family. I know several women that are the sole providers for their families or that make more than their husbands do. Honestly, I can&#8217;t imagine it. I&#8217;m so exhausted being a stay-at-home mom that I wouldn&#8217;t know how to swing a full-time secular career as well like Beth Blecherman does.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-44187\" alt=\"Beth Blecherman Pew Study Mothers as Family Breadwinners\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/beth_blecherman02.jpg\" width=\"650\" height=\"446\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.cookiesandclogs.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/beth_blecherman02.jpg 650w, https:\/\/www.cookiesandclogs.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/beth_blecherman02-292x200.jpg 292w, https:\/\/www.cookiesandclogs.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/beth_blecherman02-585x401.jpg 585w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 650px) 100vw, 650px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Beth, the founder of TechMamas.com and author of <em>My Parent Plan<\/em>, successfully balances parenting of her three children and working to support the family. I happen to know Beth personally, since we live in the same area, and she always seems to have it together. I&#8217;ve often wondered how she does it. Well, I got the chance to find out in a formal interview.<\/p>\n<p>The ten minutes I spent with Beth were well-worth it. The points she gave on using technology to save your sanity were fantastic!<\/p>\n<p><center><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/97faom5nKTQ?rel=0\" height=\"315\" width=\"560\" allowfullscreen=\"\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/center><\/p>\n<p>Wasn&#8217;t she great? I was only talking with her on the phone and she couldn&#8217;t see me at all! I personally appreciated the tip to break things down as if in little buckets. I tend to look at everything I have to do, get overwhelmed, and then not be able to do anything. Having the support of the family by &#8216;buying in&#8217; and being flexible were great pieces of advice as well. I&#8217;ve only had a chance to read the first chapter but her book also covers topics such as:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>How to create a \u201cParent Plan.\u201d<\/li>\n<li>Stay connected through the cloud.<\/li>\n<li>Remember things with digital notes.<\/li>\n<li>Learn short-cuts for time saving.<\/li>\n<li>Clear chaos with a family calendar.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>How do your keep your life under control?
