If you were asked which moments make you smile, what would you say? When asked to do a sponsored post about the “A Reason to Smile” campaign with SocialMoms and Dreyer’s, I had a bit of a challenge in pinpointing something specific. Obviously, most of my special times are experienced with my family. But what’s one moment that stood out? I’d have to say it was back in April.

Frans, Munchkin, and I took a mini road trip up north to Redding and Lake Shasta. Since the trip was only about 10% blog-related this time it was supposed to be relaxing. Yeah, like who is actually able to relax on vacation?! In the three days of our trip, we ended up packing in too many things to see and do and were constantly rushing from place to place. Plus, our second to last stop ended up taking three hours longer than expected and threw off our itinerary completely. After arriving at our hotel after midnight, being pooped and sleeping in, we even had to skip seeing the Old Faithful here in California and doing the Jelly Belly factory tour since it got too late. We were able to enjoy our tour at Mrs. Grossman’s Sticker Factory, though, and I snapped this shot:

Seeing my husband and daughter playing with stickers together was too cute. Frans was being silly and totally played along, making a very creative monster truck card. As for Munchkin, despite her teen stature, I was reminded that she’s still my little girl 🙂

Now it’s your turn. What’s your reason to smile? Share yours and you can help a child regain their smile.

Dreyer’s wants your help in donating to Operation Smile through a special “A Reason to Smile” campaign on Facebook this summer. Post your own photo or share one from the Dreyer’s Facebook wall and be sure to tag it with the hashtag #ReasontoSmile. For every photo, Dreyer’s will make a donation towards reaching that goal of giving 500 children a life-changing surgery to help correct their cleft lip or cleft palate, giving them the kind of smile every child should be able to show off.

If you’re having a hard time coming up with a “moment” to share, why not make a new one? Dreyer’s has some new limited-edition flavors including Dreyer’s Grand Ice Cream Summer in the City Cheesecake and Fun ‘n the Sun Banana Split (also comes as Dreyer’s Slow Churned Light Ice Cream). We got the Fun ‘n the Sun Banana Split and it was yummy, especially with a little extra syrup drizzled on!

So don’t forget to like Dreyer’s on Facebook and post your “A Reason to Smile” photo on Dreyer’s Facebook page with the hashtag #ReasonToSmile.

This blog post is part of a paid SocialMoms and Dreyer’s blogging program. The opinions and ideas expressed here are my own.

If you were asked which moments make you smile, what would you say?
