Leave the pajamas on because Walmart grocery delivery is now available! That’s right, you can get all your family’s groceries delivered straight to your door with the new Walmart To Go. What makes this unique compared to other home delivery services is that you can also get fresh, frozen, and cold items. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve had to run to the store to just get one refrigerated item!

With summer winding down, my family and I are doing the best we can to hold on to and enjoy whatever time we have left of these carefree days off. What better way to do that than to have a nice family cookout. So, I jumped on to Walmart To Go and put in an order. The ordering process was easy enough and I loved that the rollback prices were clearly marked and automatically applied. Putting a minimum of $30 in my cart wasn’t a problem as there were some other items I needed to stock up on.

Most delivery slots tend to get filled up fast so the next available ones are generally 1-2 days out. When our 2-hour window came around, the items arrived right on time. The delivery person was very friendly and brought the groceries right in.

Unfortunately, the only three items I really needed for our indoor cookout weren’t included. Though I wasn’t charged for those things, it would have been nice to get some prior notice that they were out of stock instead of expecting them and then just not showing up. Our cookout had to be postponed until I could put in another order. The next available time was two days out and we finally got the groceries.

The asparagus spears were super skinny and already starting to bloom so I couldn’t use them. Instead, I had to use some canned vegetables ordered previously. As for the Ribeye steaks, it came just as it would have from the store but was a bit on the fatty side. I think the selection of fresh items needs to be screened a bit better. At least Walmart has a 100% money back guarantee on produce and meat. So, if you find that the orders delivered are not up to par, call immediately and let customer service know. I’ve had wonderful experiences with friendly and helpful representatives the couple times I did call.

I’m so glad that this Walmart grocery service is available in our area. The closest Walmart is about 40 minutes from me so we don’t usually get to take advantage of their great prices. Plus, it’s so nice that I can also order the cold items thanks to the refrigerated trucks being used. There are, however, some hiccups in this being a new program and I really hope they get worked out soon because Walmart To Go really has the potential of becoming a top quality service.

Feel free use to try the service yourself and use this referral link to get $10 off your first order.

Walmart To Go – Aspirations to be Great
