Would you be skeptical if I told you that there’s a cleaning system that can rid your kitchen of bacterial ickies using only special microfiber materials and water? I would. In fact, that’s the exact reaction I had when Zabada offered to send me a set of their kitchen cleaning kit to try. After years of thinking that chemicals were the only things that could effectively sanitize something, this just didn’t seem right. Well, only one way to find out if it really works…<\/p>\n

I have to say that it was a challenge to use the Zabada products, but only because of my husband. Every time the kitchen counter got dirty enough for me to do a proper test, he would go ahead and clean it up before I could get to it. Now, that’s not usually something I’d complain about and it was quite weird to say, “Frans, did you clean the kitchen? Why did you do that?” and then forbid him from cleaning up for a couple of days. So you’ll have to excuse the fact that I didn’t have quite enough mess to truly demonstrate this with.<\/p>\n

How to Clean: Microfiber Zabada Products Use Only Water<\/h3>\n

It’s recommended that you wash the Zabada items before use. We just threw all the items into the included laundry bag for a light wash and air dry. Then it was time to get down to (cleaning) business. To use Zabada, you need to follow these three steps:<\/p>\n

  1. Wet the Kitchen Glove and wring it out.<\/li>\n
  2. Wipe the dirt away. Use the dark side for caked on stuff and light scrubbing action and the fluffy light side for any grease.<\/li>\n
  3. Dry the area with the Kitchen Marvel.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Any spots or spills quickly came up but I expected that since I was using water. While working on step two and wiping down the counters, it did feel like I was just pushing everything around though. However, the “wow” factor came after I followed step three. When I dried the area I noticed that the stove and counter was squeaky clean with a nice shine. When running my finger over the stove top (where we get most grease buildup) there wasn’t even a trace of grease left and no streaks could be found.<\/p>\n

    Since I don’t own\u00a0a high-tech bacteria detector, I’m not able to tell you how much percent cleaner it was or\u00a0if all the germs\u00a0were gone. I can tell you that I was surprised just how clean my kitchen looked using this. It was also comforting to know that I only used water versus an array of chemical-filled cleaning products to wipe things up.<\/p>\n

    Science Behind Zabada Fibers<\/h3>\n

    So where did all the “yuck” go? In the the \u00a0towels. Supposedly, everything is picked up and trapped in the microfibers and are only released when you wash it out. It is recommended that you launder everything after two uses and the products are designed to last 2-3 years. I think it’s a great idea and really look forward to trying out the other products for the bathroom, living area, and floors.<\/p>\n
