Official site

The 2014 Scion tC is a sexy little number that’s surprisingly stable and the simplistic approach works well as there’s just enough tech to keep a modern lady happy. With a 2.4L engine, power is aplenty and zipping in and out of traffic is easily done. The tight suspension allows for smooth cornering and a steady ride. This is definitely a get-in-and-go car that’s extremely easy to get used to and drive comfortably.

Inside the 2014 Scion tC

The layout is very basic but it does not feel stripped at all. The screen is a decent size and responds well. I’m sure the BeSpoke audio and navigation would function nicely in this. While there aren’t a lot of bells and whistles on the tC, common luxuries like power windows, cruise control, air-conditioning, and remote keyless entry come standard. Pretty sweet value in an attractive package, wouldn’t you agree?

Frans felt a bit squished in the driver seat as the cockpit is on the narrow side. It was fine for me though. Those sitting in the passenger seat need to exit with care and resist the urge to slide out. Otherwise, a small bruise will be in your future as the height adjustment lever sticks up a bit too far. The interior fabric looks good and feels like it will last.

The back seats are situated high but slightly recessed. This makes for a good amount of head and leg space. Munchkin found it easy enough to get in and out but often tripped on the randomly placed seat belt. For some strange reason, the front seat belts have some issues. They are located extremely far back and Frans and I almost pulled a muscle every time we reached for them. The seat belt height was not adjustable so the belts often felt like they were cutting into the neck.

There’s plenty of room in the cargo area for groceries. For larger items, the back seats fold down flat. The hatchback does lessen the height clearance but a suitcase propped up on its side should be fine.

Overall 2014 Scion tC Review

The 2014 Scion tC really impressed me and I found it enjoyable to drive. It’s hard to find a stylish vehicle that has power, good fuel efficiency, and adequate room for under $21,000. The cockpit might feel a bit too small for some so taller drivers are cautioned to test it out personally before purchase.
