Disclosure: CVS provided compensation and healthy snacks to support this post. All opinions are my own.

My daughter is a snackaholic. There, I said it.

Instead of just eating breakfast, lunch, one snack after school, and dinner, Munchkin ends up nibbling almost all day long. That’s one of the dangerous things about her being homeschooled. She has non-stop access to the kitchen and getting sidetracked with snacks.

Obviously, then the challenge is stocking up on the right things to snack on. If not tasty, whatever I buy will just expire in the deep depths of our pantry until we do a thorough cleaning and end up throwing them out. What a waste! The snack also has to be filling without being loaded with empty carbs and sugar for an upcoming energy crash and extra pounds no teen needs to haunt her. Fortunately, we’ve found some happy healthy snacks for kids that taste great and fill their between-meals appetites.

One such is the Probiotic Trail Mix from the CVS brand Gold Emblem Abound. The package describes the mixture as sweet and nutty. And that it is. This trail mix is made up of probiotic yogurt covered raisins, dark chocolate covered cranberries, and almonds.

The Challenge of Finding Healthy Snacks for Kids
