It\u2019s the perfect time to put aside the procrastination and open a college savings account for your kid(s). For many years I placed the thought in the back of my mind, thinking that her college days were still a long ways off. Before I knew it, though, my daughter breezed through elementary and middle school and is now a high school freshman! How quickly time flies!<\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s why it\u2019s so important to open an account and start saving for their future education before it&#8217;s too late. You don\u2019t have to save the full tuition for all of your children but whatever you put away now will be that much less you\u2019ll have to spend later.<\/p>\n<h3>September \u2013 College Savings Month<\/h3>\n<p>ScholarShare, California\u2019s 529 plan, is encouraging parents to make their children\u2019s education a priority and to take the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.collegesavingspledge.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">College Savings Pledge<\/a>. Then visit <a href=\"http:\/\/www.collegesavingspledge.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">CollegeSavingsPledge.com<\/a>, take the pledge, and enter your contact information. For an additional chance to win, share your signed pledge with your friends and family.
