The 2016 Hyundai Tucson really surprised us. With good fuel economy, good handling, and tight suspension, this crossover really provides a solid ride. The cargo area really blew us away \u2013\u00a0it\u2019s huge! As for looks, the Tucson is pretty pleasing and Frans really likes the back design.<\/p>\n

2016 Hyundai Tucson Review<\/h3>\n

The Tucson is one of those vehicles that you can just get in and drive. It\u2019s easy enough to adjust the seat and steering wheel to a comfortable setting and the CUV responds how it\u2019s supposed to. It hugs turns, has a fantastic turning radius, and has plenty of power. As for the gas mileage, I averaged about 27 miles per gallon. That\u2019s pretty good for a vehicle of this size and with a mix of city and highway travel.<\/p>\n

I found the Tucson to drive smoothly most of the time. I say most of the time because there were moments where the engine just didn\u2019t kick quick enough. It was most apparent when I was rushing to drop Munchkin off for her piano lessons. As I would take off at the green lights or accelerate after a turn, it was as if the Tucson needed a couple extra of seconds to figure out what it was supposed to do. I\u2019m not sure if this was due to the turbo or the double clutch engine. Either way, it did get irritating in the lower gears.<\/p>\n

Inside the 2016 Hyundai Tucson CUV<\/h3>\n

We had the trim just under the top so the seats were fabric and most of the surfaces were standard. The interior is set up nicely and there aren\u2019t really any frills. There are plenty of features but the finish is lacking. The Limited trim (loaded) is probably WAY nicer based on the listed specifications. We are seriously considering buying this to replace our current car and anything below the Limited just wouldn\u2019t be worth it for us.<\/p>\n

Back to that cargo area \u2013 whoa! I was able to do a mid-size warehouse shopping trip and hand plenty of space to spare. Speckles\u2019 monstrous bed could even fit back there and she could stretch out comfortably. The seating areas are roomy too. Munchkin had more than enough leg room when Frans was sitting in front of her, and both of them have long legs!<\/p>\n

Finally, An Ideal Small Family CUV<\/h3>\n

The 2016 Hyundai Tucson is almost perfect for our family of three (and a dog). We love the ride, the space, the look, and the great gas mileage. The only drawback is the periodic transmission hiccups. However, that can be avoided if I just drive normally and not like a mad woman trying to an appointment (not that I do this often). This CUV is an excellent choice\u00a0for small families and I love that\u00a0drool-worthy cargo space. Good job, Hyundai, on a fine, fine vehicle.<\/p>\n
