That\u2019s five years of food, treats, and toys\u2026 which adds up a lot. Yet, in all this time, I never put much thought into how the items I bought ended up in a pet store in the first place. Well, just as other merchants do, those in the pet supply industry attend tradeshows and conferences. There, retailers can learn about the newest items and hot trends. One of the largest events, SuperZoo, took place last month in Las Vegas.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.superzoo.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-56595\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cookiesandclogs.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/SZ11_LOGO_4C.jpg\" alt=\"Cookies &amp; Clogs | Dogs | Pets | New Petcurean GATHER dog food is coming in the fall of 2016. Petcurean is a family-owned pet food company for cats and dogs. They only use healthy, quality ingredients. As a Petcurean Advocate, the company sent me a few interesting tidbits of what\u2019s happening in the pet world.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Innovative Pet Products:<br \/>\nThere were lots of new products this year that are sure to tempt. We loved the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.gen7pets.com\/products\/pet-cots\/cool-air-cot-detail?Itemid=0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">cool air cot<\/a>, which provides your fur kid some air flow for hot summer days. Ball launchers were a big hit for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.innovationpet.com\/products\/kitty-connection-lattice-ball-launcher\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">cats<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/shop.goifetch.com\/product-p\/frenzy.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">dogs<\/a> alike, and if you want to make sure your pets are safe and behaving while you\u2019re away, this <a href=\"https:\/\/petcube.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">doggy cam<\/a> will do the trick. A <a href=\"http:\/\/muffinshalo.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">halo for blind dogs<\/a> took a top award from the show, marrying functional with a bit of fun.<\/li>\n<li>Big Brands Make a Move Into Pet Aisles:<br \/>\nPet care is a booming industry, and many mainstream brands are developing products to be a part of it: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.burtsbeespets.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Burt\u2019s Bees<\/a> now offers a natural pet care line, and <a href=\"http:\/\/ecos.com\/product-category\/pet\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">ECOS<\/a> has developed a line of plant-derived pet cleaning products safer for pets, as well as the planet. We even saw dog waste bags from Glad!<\/li>\n<li>Humanization of Pet Food:<br \/>\nAs society as a whole continues to eat heathier, and expect more sustainability and transparency in their food production, this expectation has also crossed into the pet world as well. All over the show floor, there were a lot of new products that touted everything from clean supply chain to natural ingredients. Petcurean led the pack with the introduction of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.petcurean.com\/news_post\/petcurean-announces-gather\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">GATHER<\/a>, a new category of pet food crafted from certified, organic, non-GMO and sustainably produced ingredients. Including a sustainably fished and MSC certified cod recipe, a certified organic chicken recipe, and a certified vegan recipe, they are all perfectly blended and balanced to provide dogs and cats with premium quality, natural nutrition that is free from rendered ingredients.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-56594\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cookiesandclogs.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/petcurean-gather-01-e1471658969866.jpg\" alt=\"Cookies &amp; Clogs | Dogs | Pets | New Petcurean GATHER dog food is coming in the fall of 2016. We\u2019ll be getting some samples as soon as those are available. I\u2019ll let you know what Speckles thinks of it. So far, she has been loving her GO! SENSITIVITY + SHINE\u2122 Limited Ingredient Duck Recipe and the SPIKE treats!
