Of course, Nissan is not one to sit on its laurels, just content to keep pushing out the same old, same old. Last Friday, the evening before the 2016 Miami International Auto Show in Florida, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nissanusa.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Nissan<\/a> unveiled the new 2017 Nissan Rogue. I was pretty excited\u00a0to witness the reveal in person! With a full redesign and upgraded features, this is one hot car!<\/p>\n<p>Along with a 2.0L gas engine, a hybrid version is due out later this year. The 2017 Nissan Rogue Hybrid will average about 35 miles per gallon. An all-wheel drive (AWD) hybrid will also be available. These compliment the new front fascia, grill, tail lights, chrome-trim side door moldings, and 19-inch aluminum alloy wheels. On the interior, you\u2019ll find premium leather and polished touches. These include a new D-shaped steering wheel, heated steering wheel, memory for driver&#8217;s seats and mirror, new door and instrument panel finishers, and more.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-56802\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cookiesandclogs.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/2017-nissan-rogue-launch-03.jpg\" alt=\"Cookies &amp; Clogs | Cars | The 2017 Nissan Rogue and 2017 Nissan Rogue Hybrid were just announced in Miami, FL just before the 2016 Miami International Auto Show. Just a few of the features available on the Rogue are Bluetooth connectivity, handsfree messaging, Bose system with nine speakers, Remote Engine Start, and dual climate control. Along with connected technologies, safety has been upgraded as well.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Blind Spot Warning<\/li>\n<li>Rear Cross Traffic Alert<\/li>\n<li>Lane Departure Warning<\/li>\n<li>Lane Departure Prevention<\/li>\n<li>Intelligent Cruise Control<\/li>\n<li>Forward Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>2017 Nissan Rogue \u2014 Interior<\/h3>\n<p>There\u2019s plenty of legroom in both the front and rear seating areas and a third row is optional. Of course, this model still includes the rear doors that open crazy wide. Cargo Area\" title=\"2017-nissan-rogue-launch-08\"><div class=\"caption\">For Groceries<\/div><\/a><\/div>\n<h3>2017 Nissan Rogue \u2014\u00a0Motion-Activated Liftgate<\/h3>\n<p>Another new feature is the Motion-Activated Liftgate. To activate the liftgate, make sure you have the key nearby and simply place your foot below the bumper. After a slight delay, you\u2019ll hear an audible beep and then the back will open. There\u2019s no need to wave your foot around trying to find the sensor (it&#8217;s somewhere near the center). In fact, doing so will not activate the liftgate. This is a safety feature to prevent accidents if a child or object happens to get under the car. What\u2019s interesting is that a putting your foot there a second time can also close the liftgate. So after you take everything out of the back and have your hands full, you can just kick below the bumper to close it up.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/OQB7uaXmtk4\" width=\"853\" height=\"480\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>The 2017 Nissan Rogue will soon be at a dealer near you. As mentioned earlier, the hybrid will be following shortly after. The exact date of when the hybrid will be available was not given. I didn\u2019t get the opportunity to ride or drive in the 2017 Nissan Rogue yet but at least it looks good from the outside and on paper.
