When traveling, I almost always forget something. From makeup remover and sunscreen to phone charging cables and snacks, at least a couple things are bound to escape my notice. And that’s when I use a packing checklist! On such occasions, I am dependent on CVS Pharmacy stores and the CVS Pharmacy App to get what I need while on the go. I’m not kidding! There have been so many times in which a local CVS Pharmacy squeezed me out of tight jams. This happened in destinations like Las Vegas, Connecticut, Florida, Atlanta, and New York.

On my last trip to southern California, I suddenly felt “something” start and had to pick up a couple personal products ASAP. I totally thought about bringing these just in case but, not surprisingly, I forgot to put them in my suitcase. Fortunately, I spied a few moments in which I could sneak away to run my errand. I opened up my CVS Pharmacy App, located the closest store, and dashed off.

Within a few minutes, I was at CVS Pharmacy in La Jolla, CA. I quickly picked up what I needed, pulled my card number up in the CVS Pharmacy App, paid, and immediately went to finish my business. Since I already loaded the CVS ExtraCare discount to my account (sent via email), savings were applied automatically. I returned to the event I was at and no one even knew I was gone. Whew!

CVS Pharmacy is my go-to store while on the go because I know a location will be in almost any area I visit and that it will carry the products and brands I normally use. I can’t say that about all companies. Plus, the CVS Pharmacy App makes it so easy to shop (either in-store or online at CVS.com) and save on my favorite items. The app gives you access to Curbside, Pay, Pharmacy, and MinuteClinic as well.

Oh, but that’s not all. In case I forget medication, I can pick up an emergency prescription refill to hold me over until I return home. You can even set up text message alerts, which will notify you when your order is ready or if there are any problems. When I was at a brand event with CVS in New York a few months ago, this was demonstrated on a HUGE mobile phone display. That was pretty funny…

Also, I recently learned that you can get same-day prints of your trip too! Just upload photos from your phone or Facebook straight into your CVS Pharmacy App. From there, arrange same-day photo pickup and enjoy thumbing through vacation memories on the way back home. How convenient is that?!

One thing that I could do without is the long, printed receipt you get at checkout. These are super handy if you like a paper trail of your retail purchases or want to keep actual coupons in hand. But, when you’re out of town, it’s not as easy to tuck multiple receipts in your mini-travel bag or wallet. That’s why the ability to receive digital receipts is so handy. I heard about this feature a while ago but never knew how to set it up in my account. (This feature is not automatic so you actually have to opt-in to and set it as your main preference.) Well, I finally figured it out and it’s really simple. Just do the following:

Travel Backup While on the Go
