As a parent, I\u2019m used to putting my needs and wants last. I rarely cook what I want for dinner and usually give my family first dibs on items to get, things they want to do, and places to go. But, once in awhile, I need to get my way too! After all, I work plenty hard and have at least earned the right to pick what we watch for family movie night. Right??!!<\/p>\n

Well, even if my family agrees to watch a movie I decide on, there\u2019s no guarantee that they won\u2019t whine, sigh, grumble, or act out extreme displays of boredom. And, man, that can seriously put a damper on enjoying the show of my choice. So what is a girl to do? Fortunately, Netflix put together some “art of persuasion” cheat sheets for me to try out.<\/p>\n

How to Get Your Way with Netflix Flowcharts<\/h3>\n

I particularly liked the one for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story<\/a>. Frans is not really into Star Wars universe<\/a> and Munchkin clearly said, \u201cI don\u2019t like movies when main people die.\u201d Uhm, yeah, that\u2019s a major problem with Rogue One since…<\/p>\n

\u2026 everyone dies. I watched the movie on one of my recent flights and actually enjoyed it. But, you know how hard it is to really concentrate and hear everything when you\u2019re watching it on the plane. So, I really want to see it again but this time with my family. I wonder if the lines of reasoning in the flowchart will work.<\/p>\n

There are also suggestions of how to convince family members to watch Trollhunters<\/a> and Chef\u2019s Table<\/a>. Munchkin did watch Trollhunters with me but Frans didn’t. As for Chef’s Table, I haven’t seen that but would love to binge a new cooking series. Could your family use a little nudge in letting you get your way on family movie night? Try using any or all of these flowcharts. Which movie or series will you push for?<\/p>\n
