I\u2019m sick! I can\u2019t believe I\u2019m welcoming in the new year in bed. I felt something coming on a few days ago, tried to get some rest, and actually thought I kicked it. But, then, I started to get the chills again and ended up sleeping until 2 pm. There went my grand plans to hit the ground running with renewed energy and determination. Instead, I have to stay home and hope for the best that this doesn\u2019t turn into a full-blown cold. Ugh, sickness never fails to happen at the wrong times. I hate the cold season!<\/p>\n<h3>Another Victim of Cold Season<\/h3>\n<p>Honestly, I should have known better and been more careful when I was around other people. I did, after all, received an <a href=\"https:\/\/https:\/\/www.cvs.com\/?WT.mc_id=PR_123117_CVSDigital_CookiesandClogs4\" rel=\"nofollow\">email from CVS<\/a> a couple weeks ago with the subject line \u201cCold Season is Coming to Foster City, CA.\u201d Oh, if only I paid closer attention to that message and used <a href=\"https:\/\/https:\/\/www.cvs.com\/?WT.mc_id=PR_123117_CVSDigital_CookiesandClogs4\" rel=\"nofollow\">the included coupon<\/a> to stock up on immune boosters before I got sick!<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-59307\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cookiesandclogs.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/cvs-sick-cold-02.jpg\" alt=\"CVS Pharmacy cold season immune boosters, remedies, and cold medicine.\" width=\"900\" height=\"724\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.cookiesandclogs.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/cvs-sick-cold-02.jpg 900w, https:\/\/www.cookiesandclogs.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/cvs-sick-cold-02-292x235.jpg 292w, https:\/\/www.cookiesandclogs.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/cvs-sick-cold-02-768x618.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.cookiesandclogs.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/cvs-sick-cold-02-650x523.jpg 650w, https:\/\/www.cookiesandclogs.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/cvs-sick-cold-02-585x471.jpg 585w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Oh, well. Now that I\u2019ve been hit, there\u2019s nothing I can do but stay home and try to get over it as soon as possible. If I do need any medicine or household goods, I can always order it through the <a href=\"https:\/\/https:\/\/www.cvs.com\/mobile-cvs\/apps?WT.mc_id=PR_123117_CVSDigital_CookiesandClogs4\" rel=\"nofollow\">CVS Pharmacy app<\/a> and have it delivered to my door. CVS Pharmacy offers free 1-2 day shipping when orders are over $49. In the Health &amp; Medicine section, there\u2019s even a curated list of items for the cold season under Cough, Cold, and Flu. That will take you to suggestions for chest rub, medicine, cough drops, medicine for children, immune support, lip and cold sore treatments, and nasal care. If you\u2019re not sure what to add to your cart, I did compile <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cookiesandclogs.com\/prevent-fight-cold-flu-season\/\">ten essential items<\/a> to keep on hand. I try to get one every year since the flu strains seem to get nastier each year. Getting a cold is a pain but no one needs to be down for one to two weeks with those awful flu symptoms. In the <a href=\"https:\/\/https:\/\/www.cvs.com\/mobile-cvs\/apps?WT.mc_id=PR_123117_CVSDigital_CookiesandClogs4\" rel=\"nofollow\">CVS Pharmacy app<\/a>, you can also locate the closest  <a href=\"https:\/\/https:\/\/www.cvs.com\/minuteclinic\/?WT.mc_id=PR_123117_CVSDigital_CookiesandClogs4\" rel=\"nofollow\">MinuteClinic<\/a> with the shortest wait time. That way you can go in, get a flu shot, and then be on your way in a jiffy. Before, taking two <a href=\"https:\/\/https:\/\/www.cvs.com\/shop\/cvs-health-airshield-effervescent-tablets-orange-flavor-prodid-381791?skuId=381791?WT.mc_id=PR_123117_CVSDigital_CookiesandClogs4\" rel=\"nofollow\">Airshield<\/a> tablets a day and trying to sleep as much possible helped me feel better pretty quickly. The problem was that tried to do too much too soon. That\u2019s when signs of the relapse set in.
