Zhu Zhu Pets Pampered Hamster Party, it was the perfect opportunity to have a few of my daughter’s buddies over.

My daughter helped me put one Zhu Zhu Rockstar in each gift bag then wrote the guests’ names and put on a sticker. Putting together the Zhu Zhu Grooming Salon took me a lot longer than I expected and was definitely a full project in itself. After the other three girls (and one of their brothers) arrived, I made them ignore all the goodies until I was finished – cruel, I know. The wait was worth it because the table looked just perfect to make a picture for the family scrapbook.

The kids were so excited to get their bags. After finding a Zhu Zhu Rockstar inside they ripped open the packaging, literally. Then each girl (one six-year-old and three 9-year-olds) got to choose two outfits for their pet. I thought it was so sweet when one of the children said, “We get to keep these?!” The outfits were each so cute that none of the kids fought over who got what. Each one was able to have a fall/winter outfit and one of the specialty outfits (pajamas, rain gear, western, skiing).

The first thing the kids did was form a circle with their legs and let the Zhu Zhu Pets run wild. They were giggling and laughing as the hamsters turned this way and that. Then they crowded around the Pet Salon when I finally finished. The working hair dryer and light-up mirror were so cute. Each child took turns with the included accessories to brush and curl the extra hair on these pets. The ZhuZhus got the star treatment as they were primped and dressed up. A couple of the girls even got dressed up themselves. But that’s not all . . .
