The new set of Disney Infinity 3.0 Edition Disney Originals characters are a blast to play! These include Mickey, Minne, Olaf, Mulan, and Sam Flynn and Quorra from Tron. Each character is so unique and detailed that you can’t help but be amazed at what the designers have come up with.
Disney Originals Wave 1 Review
Since each of the six characters are so different, it’s probably best if I break each one’s characteristics and abilities down a bit.
- Mickey – Throws things and punches like he’s boxing.
- Minnie – Uses her purse to hit things and attacks with love. All of her sayings are adorable and I love the way she interacts when Mickey is also being played. She also skips instead of walks but moves faster than other characters.
- Olaf – Takes off his arm and uses it to hit and rocks back and forth, touching his toes after a drop attack. He is unbearably cute and makes me smile.
- Mulan – Uses a rod and martial arts. She has some real potential but we need to level her up more.
- Sam Flynn – Uses his disc and punches and kicks. Whatever he hits pixelates. So far, not impressed.
- Quorra – Uses two discs and a light rod. Her attack is crazy fast. Whatever she hits also pixelates. Her voice is super sweet!
If you can’t tell, Minnie and Olaf are a couple of my favorite character figures. Munchkin favors Minnie and Disgust from Inside Out. She likes that Disgust walks funny with her hands out, uses her scarf to attack, and that she has snotty sayings. A few more figures in the Disney Originals line are planned (from Zootopia and The Good Dinosaur) but no release date has been announced as far as I’m aware.
