When decorating a space for your little ‘bun in the oven’, one of the most fun items to choose is the bedding for their crib. When we first had our daughter, we lived in a one-bedroom apartment and my daughter’s crib was placed in the living room. Since we didn’t have a dedicated room for a nursery, the bedding was pretty much the only decoration we could work with. We had the cutest set featuring Classic Pooh and, for the first year or two, it was the background for many, many pictures.
That was eleven years ago and many new offerings available. I don’t usually review baby items but the NoJo Bedding Collections were too cute to pass up! Of the many adorable designs, I received the Ahoy Mate! crib set.
This 6-piece crib set is the PERFECT starter set. In one easy-to-carry bag, all the essential items you need to get the ‘baby area’ prepped are included. Neatly packed inside are the coordinating comforter, bumper, crib sheet, dust ruffle, window valance, and diaper stacker.
I found all the materials to be high quality and sewn well. The combination of colors compliment each other very nicely with soft blues, greens, and browns. Of course, most of the set is machine-washable – a must when any baby is involved. The diaper stacker is such a cute way to store the seemingly never-ending diaper supply and comes with ties to attach to any dresser or changing table.
What really impressed me was the attention to detail. The way fabrics and prints were combined make for a very attractive set. Varied textures add depth and the velour adds a nice touch (no pun intended). Aren’t the designs sweet?
The NoJo collections really appeal to me because they are simple yet tasteful. The color theming ranges from pastel and muted to vivid and colorful, yet never crosses the line of being either boring or gaudy. For more decorating goodness, other matching NoJo items

Oh, by the way, my daughter kept her blanket from her Classic Pooh set for YEARS. Only when we moved back to the states did we get rid of it. People don’t realize how special a nice set can be!
