San Mateo Will Be Hoppin’ This Fall

Okay, Hillsdale Shopping Center in San Mateo, CA is a pretty good mall. We have Build-A-Bear, a Lego store, California Pizza Kitchen, Outback Steakhouse, Victoria’s Secret, Bare Escentuals, and a brand new Old Navy. With the huge chunk of empty space that the old Mervyns used to occupy the mall just wasn’t the same though.

Well lookout Peninsula because San Mateo is going to be the ‘it’ place to shop. To fill that empty space we’ll be getting a brand-spanking new Cheesecake Factory (September) AND an H&M (October)! As if that wasn’t enough goodess DSW Shoes will be moving right next to Barnes & Noble where Old Navy used to be, also in October. I have so needed a great shoe store, especially since Shoe Pavilion closed.

I am so uber excited! No more trips to the city for good clothes, good shoes, and good food! What other fabulous businesses will be coming to town? Do you have any speculation as to what will replace the Borders store?
